EQ 100 Variable Multi-Curve Phono Equalizer
PRODUCT SUMMARY
This is a variable type multi-curve phono equalizer amplifier that supports the cutting characteristics of all analog records from 78 rpm SP to 33⅓ rpm mono LP. The equalizer correction values for low-frequency correction turnover and high-frequency correction roll-off can be adjusted completely independently for 10 types as indicated on the panel, and since there is no interference between them, 100 types of combinations are possible.
Representative cutting characteristics include four types for 78 rpm SPs, pre-war and post-war, with 1945 as the dividing line, for the US and Europe (EU78 ~1945, AM78 ~1945, EU78 1945~, AM78 1945~), and for LPs, they are easy to preset for RIAA, AES, DECCA, Columbia, and NAB. In particular, DECCA, Columbia, and RIAA have individual Bass Limit characteristics to suppress the rise limit of the low frequencies and ensure correct playback.
It has been developed as an easy-to-use product that will satisfy analog record enthusiasts, from SP specialists to mono LP enthusiasts, and even those who want to try listening to pre-stereo recordings.
FEATURES
- The variable values of each filter circuit are precisely calculated using a computer-based circuit simulator.
- Actual circuits are verified using Audio Precision measuring equipment.
- Capacitors and resistors are switched using rotary switches.
- Each switch is designed to make switching noise barely noticeable, allowing operation while listening to a record.
- Unlike conventional variable equalizers that use volume to change curves, the EQ-100 eliminates concerns related to contact quality of the rotary slider, errors in rotation position, and resistance value.
- Exterior design and wooden frame blend seamlessly with vintage equipment.
- Features a foldable tilt stand for easy visibility and operation of the front panel.
- Uses high-quality capacitors and resistors to ensure precise sound reproduction.
- Built with durable materials to ensure longevity and consistent performance.
- Suitable for both professional audio engineers and audiophiles seeking top-tier sound quality.
- Compact design makes it easy to integrate into various audio setups without taking up much space.
